About Me

Nine years ago, after being picked on for being a bit chubby I started trying to get fit, but I didn’t know much about lifting weights or eating right. I’d look up workouts online for my chest and arms, but I didn’t make much progress. It took me a long time to realise I was doing things wrong – which seems silly looking back.

For the next eight years, I made a lot of mistakes but learned from each one. Now, I know how to keep getting fitter for the rest of my life, whether I want to be generally fit, build muscle, or lose fat. I’ve learned what works not just for me but what works for everyone… as getting in shape is a science not some magical thing some people can do and others can’t.

So, my advice is: don’t do what I did and waste nine years figuring things out. Instead, find a quicker way to reach your fitness goals and learn from someone who’s done it.

In my experience as a trainer people tend to come to me for 1 of 3 reasons:

To gain an understanding of the gym and build confidence to start going on their own. In this instance I’ve found its normally a lack of knowledge that people have and once they gain an understanding they are much happier to come and train as they feel more confident in themselves.

Because they have hit a plateau in the goal they are working towards this could be struggling to increase the weight they are lifting, struggling to shed that last couple of stubborn kilograms or can’t seem to increase there muscle mass any further.

Lastly people tend to want someone who can hold them accountable and stay on top of their training for them. Taking the thought out of training and having someone there with a plan that they just need to follow.
